Back in the day, the West Newton train stop was located near a still-standing inn (now small shops) that served as a stagecoach stop, but the station was destroyed in the construction of the Massachusetts Turnpike. After this construction, many old buildings were lost such as the West Newton Fire House, Lincoln Park and Tony’s Drug Store.
