“THIRTEEN VILLAGES, ONE COMMUNITY” is the tagline for the City of Newton, setting a tone of collaboration and community prideCity Hall is more than bricks and mortar, the building and grounds are treasured by Newton citizens as a beautiful reminder of the best things about Newton: our diversity, our culture, and our values as a community.
Newton City Hall is Colonial Revival style and was built in 1932. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The iconic building is grand with two beautiful white steeples that mark the landscape. The west side of the building contains The War Memorial with Greek temple-style portico supported by four Corinthian columns which has become a familiar meeting ground for public gatherings of all kinds.

The landscaping around the building was designed by the celebrated Olmsted Brothers. The grounds are comprised of a beautiful pedestrian park with walking bridges over the pond and lovely mature trees and natural plantings.
