Excellent selection of new and used books
Harvard Book Store has been one of my favorite bookstores for more years than I care to say! While living in Cambridge, I would frequently browse the Staff Recommended section to find books. Some of those I found are still among my favorites. Recently I stopped in for a baby gift and found two of my favorite books in Staff Recommended display.
I think I finally figured out why I love this bookstore so much aside from the fact that I have so many good memories accumulated over the years. The staff are devoted to serving readers and share a passion of books. More than once they have helped me find a book when I can’t remember the title. I have given them the scantiest hit and somehow and they manage to find it for me. They belong to the club of life-long-learners. While the store has always maintained a cheerful focus on excellent service, more recently this local business has become an outstanding model for great marketing and service through social media.

The “Staff Favorites” pages are crisp with loads of beautiful images and personal recommendations and reviews. Enjoy an outstanding slideshow about the history of Harvard Book Store. My favorite find was he LibraryThing, which I found on www.Harvard.com. It is a great social media place for recording and sharing all about books.
